Dr Anderson has been a practising clinical haematologist for the past ten years currently working both at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. She is a foundation member of the CART consultant group at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre having joined the team at the inception of the unit in 2019.

Dr Anderson obtained her PhD from the University of Melbourne in 2017 where she undertook extensive clinical and laboratory studies of a novel approach to treating B cell malignancies by harnessing apoptotic cell death with the agent now known as venetoclax. Since completion of her PhD Dr Anderson has continued her studies into mechanisms by which B cell malignancies evade targeted agents to develop therapeutic resistance.
